Lost Ox, known for combining elements of funk, psychedelia, jazz, Americana and progressive rock, was formed in 2017. The band began as a musical friendship between bassist Reed Bunnell and guitarist Dylan DiSalvio that was forged in the Lewis & Clark College Jazz Studies program in 2011. What started as a psychedelic folk and blues rock band incubated and grew in the vibrant Portland music scene, and developed into the genre-blending musical adventure that is Lost Ox. The band has carved out its niche crafting unique long-form classical influenced progressive rock songs with exciting and highly creative improvisational sections. Their most recent album, Tale of the Fool (2024), is an exploration of folk, bluegrass, and roots rock styles.

Swindler produces a fresh and original sound that integrates funk, jazz and psychedelic rock into a masterful sonic tapestry. Their innovative approach makes each live experience compelling and unique. The band continues to expand an already rapidly growing fanbase with each show. Funk based grooves, tight melodic arrangements and strong instrumental improvisation all create a vibe that brings the dance floor alive. Based in Seattle, they have toured extensively throughout the northwest and beyond. Swindler has been a favorite late night festival band featured at Northwest String Summit Festival, Summer Meltdown Festival, Element Music Festival, 4 Peaks Music Festival and more! $12

Boston's The Jauntee is an electrifying and genre-blending musical ensemble that has captivated audiences with their unique and dynamic sound. Formed in 2010, the band has been pushing the boundaries of improvisational music, combining elements of jazz, funk, rock, and psychedelic jams to create a sonic experience like no other. Help us celebrate our birthday with the astounding Patterns Fly! Seattle based guitarist Andy Coe (ACB, Skerik Band, McTuff) and drummer D'Vonne Lewis (Digable Planets, McTuff, Industrial Revelation) join forces with Portland keyboardist Galen Clark (Outer Orbit, Trio Subtonic, Sleater-Kinney) for a blend of pocket heavy organ trio funk and psychedelic mind bending groove music. The resulting sound fuses high energy synth bass, heavy funk and experimental electronic-tinged jazz.
Come celebrate Brett McConnell's birthday (technically on April 4th... So at midnight!) in style with BHP and very special guest Ben Tactic, who will be opening up the night and also spinning at setbreak! Brett will also be celebrating his 15-year-anniversary of performing at the Goodfoot! Bassist Brett McConnell (Threedom, Aniana, Fresh Track) has a thing for house music, and that thing compelled him to create a "livetronica" band in 2017 to explore the genre in a live, real-time setting. Gathering synths, electronic drums, the unique setup of two bassists, and Aniana on improvisational vocal hooks, he’s put together his eponymous House Party and would love to see you dancing to that familiar electronic heartbeat at the Goodfoot! Each show attempts to recreate a live set from a house DJ: a similar BPM for the entire evening, and non-stop tracks. And the most impressive part? It's 100% improvised! --- Ben Tactic is a seasoned DJ, promoter, and curator from Portland (originally from Kansas City) and the founder of the event series Spend The Night, known for showcasing a blend of dance music's history and contemporary sounds. He is a pillar of the PDX electronic scene and we are so excited to have him on the decks for this special event! $7

(Please note the earlier 8pm doors for this show)! Jay Si Proof is an explosion of funk with unhinged, audacious, and joyous energy! There are no walls between performer and audience at a Jay Si Proof show, there are no boundaries between acquaintances, friends and strangers. Teetering between funk anthems, entirely improvised disco bangers, and sentimental lo-fi grooves, Jay Si Proof is as much an experience as it is a concert. The driving grooves of funk, rich textures of soul, and the compelling storytelling of the blues converge through The Gold Souls’ unique brand of boogie. Captivating lyrics tell modern tales, while fresh arrangements propel a classic sound, inspiring audiences everywhere with positive messages straight from the heart to the dance floor.
