Far Out West strikes a relentlessly engaging balance between funk-infused rock and a jazz-informed collaboration, making them stand out as one of Portland’s most creative electric quartets. Since the band’s inception in 2016, their high energy performances and upbeat instrumentation continue to raise the spirits of their audiences, one sensational beat at a time. $8
New Orleans based band, The Love Muscles, fronted by Megan Martinez, is soulful and silly, blending elements of funk, pop, psych rock, roots soul and New Orleans rhythm and blues. Each show delivers booty shaking joy with a heartfelt punch.
Tonight they are joined by PDX's Lost Ox. Lost Ox, known for combining elements of funk, psychedelia, jazz, Americana and progressive rock, was formed in 2017. The band began as a musical friendship between bassist Reed Bunnell and guitarist Dylan DiSalvio that was forged in the Lewis & Clark College Jazz Studies program in. What started as a psychedelic folk and blues rock band incubated and grew in the vibrant Portland music scene, and developed into a genre-blending musical adventure! $12

Anjali and The Incredible Kid first introduced Portland dance floors to the sounds of Bollywood and Bhangra in 2000, but it was not until July of 2002 that they founded a party dedicated exclusively to featuring the sounds of the desi diaspora. ANDAZ was an instant success and many thought the success was a fad. The party started as the Truth Hurts song "Addictive," featuring a prominent sample of the Bollywood song "Thoda Resham Lagta Hai," was making its way up the charts to a peak of #9. This was one year before a Jay-Z remix of Panjabi MC's Bhangra track "Mundian To Bach Ke" reached the US Top 40. This was five years before MIA covered the Bollywood song "Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja," and made use of South Indian soundtrack percussion players to create the dense rhythms of several of the tracks on her Kala album. This was seven years before Slumdog Millionaire won 8 Academy Awards and grossed $140 million dollars at the North American box office, with a soundtrack by the Bollywood composer A.R Rahman that one two Oscars, reached #4 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and topped the Billboard Top Electronic Albums twice, once knocking Lady Gaga out of the top spot after a twelve-week run. $13

Our in-house curator, Jason Brown, has put together another fantastic show with works from Brin Levinson, Dan McCarthy, Kyle Allen and Rye Watts. As always, the show is free, all art is available for purchase and DJ Kaeli Hertz is on the 1's and 2's 'till close! Free!
Come join us for a night of Latin music, featuring two of PDX's finest bands! Barrio Mestizo is a high-energy Latin band bringing salsa, cumbia and vibrant rhythms to the stage. Blending roots from across Latin America with fresh influences, the band creates a sound that is both authentic and dynamic. With musicians and audiences from diverse backgrounds, Barrio Mestizo turns every performance into a celebration where everyone's invited to dance, listen and enjoy themselves in their own way. José Rioseco is a Chilean born musician who brings an emotional collection of songs into an exciting performance. Centering the Spanish guitar but blending elements from Latin and Spanish music with synth pop as well as contemporary Latin singer/songwriter, his show is both dynamic and energetic, emotional and entertaining. $15

Channeling elements of jazz fusion and funk with undertones of R&B, gospel and hip hop, greaterkind sets out to do something fresh. A product of playing together in numerous live situations, greaterkind's music is rooted in improvisation, which brings a different and special energy to each show. Space and creation is key to process. The band includes Charlie Brown (keyboards), Cory Limuaco (drums), Ian "Yuck" Lindsey (bass) and Peter Knudsen (guitar/bass/vocals).
