Banshee Tree is an indie psychedelic pop/rock band with sharply-written songs, jazz-inspired guitar solos, saxophone textures, and grooves that nod to the dance floor, they've spent nearly a decade evolving their sound. That fusion reaches a new peak with Bad Luck, a restless and unapologetically diverse album that captures a celebrated band chasing down new horizons. For years, Banshee Tree's evolution took place not in the recording studio, but onstage. A weekly residency at a speakeasy in Boulder, Colorado, gave the musicians an opportunity to reach beyond their origins as a swing band, while the addition of new members — including veterans of Denver's funk and punk-rock scenes — helped broaden the group's influences. Banshee Tree began gigging in other cities, too, busking with street performers in New Orleans and sharing late-night jam sessions with bands in the Pacific Northwest. Before long, their fusion of acoustic and electric styles had grown so wide that Banshee Tree could play virtually anywhere: dubstep festivals in California, EDM bills in Colorado, and bluegrass shows with genre-benders like Leftover Salmon and The Infamous Stringdusters. Tonight they are joined by beloved PDX jam stalwarts, Lost Ox, who will set the table with a high-energy set of their own! $15

The Sweet Lillies music is heartfelt and collaborative. Those defining traits are given life by the quartet of musicians who make up the Lillies, Julie Gussaroff, Becca Bisque, JJ Murphy and Jones Maynard. Together they have combined their individual strengths to deliver powerful narratives of life in song. With their lineup of electric guitar, viola/violin, upright and electric bass, drums/percussion and ethereal vocal harmonies that float like a dream, the Sweet Lillies' music has a hard hitting original flavor with a forward-looking eye. The Sweet Lillies have incorporated all of their cumulative life-experiences into their music, song-writing, and artistry, crafting an uncommonly-beautiful style they have dubbed “Americana Roots Pop Fusion” - a nod to the band’s all encompassing musical tastes and willingness to experiment with genres ranging from folk to jazz, blues, southern rock and rock all the way to hip-hop and pop music. $15
Seattle based guitarist Andy Coe (ACB, Skerik Band, McTuff) and drummer D'Vonne Lewis (Digable Planets, McTuff, Industrial Revelation) join forces with Portland keyboardist Galen Clark (Outer Orbit, Trio Subtonic, Sleater-Kinney) for a blend of pocket heavy organ trio funk and psychedelic mind bending groove music. The resulting sound fuses high energy synth bass heavy funk and experimental electronic tinged jazz. $15

Jeff Chilton should have become a high school band director after graduating from Ithaca College in upstate NY. Instead he took an Amtrak train to Portland, OR with naught but a trombone at his side and an acoustic guitar on his back. The soggy jazz soaked dirt of Portland proved creatively fertile and after meeting fellow artists Corey Heppner, Lucas James, and JD Erickson, Chilton took on the moniker Jay Si and created the musical organism Jay Si Proof. Bringing their “silly and euphoric vibe” (Portland Mercury) up and down the West Coast. Jay Si Proof is described as "earth jazz alchemists" by Vortex Magazine and has been featured twice on PDX Pop Now, ranked in the Mercury's top music videos of 2024, and performed at countless PNW music festivals.  Tonight they are joined by Sacramento's The Gold Souls. Born from a love of groove, grit, and golden-era funk and soul, The Gold Souls are all about connection, on stage and in the crowd. With soaring vocals, a killer rhythm section, and hard-hitting horns, the music is built to move you, body and soul. Equal parts throwback and right-now, The Gold Souls' sound is tight, vibrant, and impossible not to dance to. $10-15 sliding scale
