Dyke Pool presents Off the Felt, a dance event at The Goodfoot (Downstairs) for the queer community and allies, with aspirations of making it a monthly occurrence. The night will feature two DJs playing back-to-back sets from 8:00 PM to 12:00AM. The event aims to provide a safe, fun and energetic space for dancing, community and celebration. $10

Laugh Basement, our weekly stand-up comedy showcase hosted by Hewitt Pagenstecher and DJ Bholt, is back with headliner Dan Weber! Dan is an optimistically dark and dry standup comedian. He grew up in Tillamook, which should be spelled with three k's because well, you know. Having always wanted to do comedy, he waited a mere 24 years to start. The intervening time wasn’t a total waste, as it provided him with a wealth of material to draw from. Dan talks on stage about all the topics you are supposed to never discuss in polite company. From religion to politics to life experience over-sharing, he leaves no sacred cow untipped. Monday’s show also features comedians Jordan Cerminera, Corey Young, Cait Chock, Tyson Gusman and Samantha Ruddy! $10

Come celebrate with a double band Saturday night! Super Secret Band has become a goodfoot staple. Their blazing live shows touch on rock, dark jazz, blues and funk with ambient jams that drop into dance floor burners effortlessly.
Lost Ox, known for combining elements of funk, psychedelia, jazz, Americana, and progressive rock, was formed in 2017. The band began as a musical friendship between bassist Reed Bunnell and guitarist Dylan DiSalvio that was forged in the Lewis & Clark College Jazz Studies program in SW Portland back in 2011. What started as a psychedelic folk and blues rock band incubated and grew in the vibrant Portland music scene, and developed into the genre-blending musical adventure that is Lost Ox. $12

Two of Portland's long time musical siblings come together for one night to meld vibes in a unique way. Taylor Kingman has been singing his life on stages all around the country for as long as he can remember. And the songs are genius, funny, sad, and real in a way few artists this side of legends like JJ Cale or Townes van Zandt can express. Dave Dernovsek has been haunting the Goodfoot ever since he moved to Portland, before and during his years at the helm of Portland live electronic power trio Yak Attack. Dave played many shows with Taylor's first band, The Hill Dogs, joined by a mutual connection with Yak Attack cofounder Rowan Cobb, so this musical friendship goes back over a decade. Dave is bringing the dudes (Jacob Rubanowitz and Julian Koell) to help prime the canvas for Taylor's songs. It's gonna be a really special show, and for the Goodfoot's 25th anniversary, our community deserves nothing less. $12

Tonight, we celebrate 25 years of bringing music and art to the neighborhood and what better band to take the reins than Jujuba, who've been gracing our stage for over 20 years! Jujuba delivers a funky, danceable style of Nigerian Afrobeat and Juju music. The strength of the 10-piece revolves around its energetic cohesion between percussion, rhythm and horn sections. The band features Nojeem Lasisi from Igbo Ora, Oyo State, in Nigeria. He ranks among the world’s elite talking drum players. Nojeem was given his first drum at age four by his father, also a master drummer, who handed down to Nojeem its powerful language. As a member of Nigerian superstar King Sunny Ade's group, the African Beats, Nojeem toured the world and appears on numerous recordings with King Sunny, including "Seven Degrees North" and "Odu”. Dave Attell recently described him on stage as “someone who looks like he knows everything there is to know about parrots.” With his candid, conversational brand of self-deprecating humor, Jeremiah has become a regular performer at clubs all over the U.S. including Helium Comedy Club. He has been featured on Audible’s comedy series “Sounds Like America” and performed all over the country and internationally at festivals including The SF Sketchfest, The Badgerland Comedy Fest, The Savage Henry Comedy Festival, and The 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival where he was nominated as “Best of the Fest” by the festival’s organizers. Monday’s show also features comedians Arlo Weierhauser, James Bosquez, Alex Durazzo and Zane Thomas!. $10
