Laugh Basement, our weekly stand-up comedy showcase hosted by Hewitt Pagenstecher, is back with headliner David Tveite! David Tveite (it’s pronounced “twighty” for some reason) is a lanky, perpetually embarrassed Minnesotan guy who has been thrilling and delighting audiences with his unique, cleverly crafted standup comedy for over ten years. He is a cheerful pessimist with material that is absurd but acerbic, cranky but whimsical, and cerebral but also very, very stupid. People seem to like it for the most part. David has appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and performed at festivals across the country, including Portland’s Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Atlanta’s Laughing Skull Comedy Festival and Seattle’s Bumbershoot Music Festival. He currently resides in Portland. Monday’s show also features comedians Mandy SImonson, Noah Linsky, Camille Redd, Ronnie Mackaroni, and Dan Wiancko! $10
