EMEK art show

years making posters professionally: 33 years living in Portland: 20
(yes, these are are all real, official concert posters)
Emek is a designer, illustrator and fine art painter.
Bridging the gap between the psychedelic imagery of the 1960’s
and the pop-culture and post-industrial iconography of the 1990’s, Emek has emerged as one of the most successful poster artists of the contemporary era, creating memorable work informed by elements of fantasy, social commentary and biting wit. The work — hand-drawn and then silkscreen-printed in limited editions of only a few hundred, quickly found favor with musicians and collectors alike, and he has since designed pieces creatively advertising events for hundreds and hundreds of bands and festivals around the world. He was invited to exhibit at the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has been featured in national and international magazines, as well as interviews on CNN, OPB and PBS. Over the last several decades, Emek’s work has been shown in galleries across the United States and Europe. In December 2007, Billboard named the top 25 rock posters of all time. EMEK garnered 3 spots on the list, the most of any single artist. On December 16, 2014, eBay announced Emek was the number one most searched artist in the state of Oregon. Emek has also won the most awards
every year since its inception, at the annual Pollstar Music Poster Awards and Expressobeans Poster Collectors website among many other inter-national awards and competitions. BlahBlahBlah- who cares, you either like this crap or ya don’t.
