Two of Portland’s long time musical siblings come together for one night to meld vibes in a unique way. Taylor Kingman has been singing his life on stages all around the country for as long as he can remember. And the songs are genius, funny, sad, and real in a way few artists this side of legends like JJ Cale or Townes van Zandt can express. Dave Dernovsek has been haunting the Goodfoot ever since he moved to Portland, before and during his years at the helm of Portland live electronic power trio Yak Attack. Dave played many shows with Taylor’s first band, The Hill Dogs, joined by a mutual connection with Yak Attack cofounder Rowan Cobb, so this musical friendship goes back over a decade. Dave is bringing the dudes (Jacob Rubanowitz and Julian Koell) to help prime the canvas for Taylor’s songs. It’s gonna be a really special show, and for the Goodfoot’s 25th anniversary, our community deserves nothing less. $12
