Diego Corral  and Merc Lodown collection art show

Diego ‘Orphan’ Corral  born in Portland in 1980, is generally a portrait artist. “Orphan” is a moniker created by Diego to maintain anonymity of some of his earlier pieces. Working primarily with acrylic and spray paint, he vividly coalesces graffiti and rock and roll culture on canvas. Diego’s journey through the world of art started at a very young age. Exploring all aspects and medias, including: special effects makeup, graffiti, sculpture and music, he slowly developed a style of his own.
Merc Lodown collection Jay Hydrick (Merc Lodown) has been collecting art in one form or another for this entire life. As a child, he took inspiration from football icons, rock musicians, and was especially fascinated by blacklight posters. The collecting took off in his young adulthood in the form of sports memorabilia as he followed the LA Raiders. From there he became interested in the custom car scene and turned that love into a side hustle as he went from show to show selling unique swag. During that time, he stumbled on Gasoline Gallery in El Segundo, CA and the collecting bug fully bit him in the ass there. Hot rod monster art was the first attraction and then was exposed to lowbrow artists and eventually to pop surrealism. From Gasoline Gallery in the 90’s to Brassworks Gallery in Portland, OR today, he keeps his finger on the pulse by volunteering which has given him the opportunity to meet hundreds of artists which has allowed his taste and interest in art to evolve. As a result, he has recently taken inventory of thirty years of collecting – literally thousands of pieces – and has decided to part with some of it. Time to make room for more! Featuring Johnny Crap, Nick Manning, George Webber, Raleigh Scott, Nick Berke, Doug Dorr, Dennis MsPhill, Big Toe, Tony Lewis, McMonster, Brian Wilson and many many more.
