DESCRIPTION:Laugh Basement\, our weekly stand-up comedy showcase hosted by Hewitt Pagenstecher and DJ Bholt\, is back with headliner Steven Wilber!!  Steven Wilber (birth name: Esteban Wilbermensch-Sigourneyweaver) is a very funny comedian\, though you wouldn’t be able to tell by looking at him or hearing him talk. As a government certified cuck for yuks\, Steven injects his brand of down-home musings and eldritch incantations into everything he does. Since his early beginnings as bassist for Better Than Ezra cover band\, Worse Than Ezra\, Steven’s star grew to meteoric heights\, starring in 90s sitcom\, “Nurse Cop\,” wowing audiences with his one-person play “God Won’t Shut The Heck Up About My Trauma!” and becoming TikTok famous with his “Spaghetti-Vein Challenge.” In 2019\, Steven suddenly passed away at the age of 23\, due to complications from a pasta-related injury earlier that year. Monday’s show also features comedians Armando Santoyo\, Nathan Hart\, Angie Bloomfield\, Cody Chasteen and Skylar King! $10

DESCRIPTION:It’s Last Thursday and time for another art opening in the upstairs pub/gallery! Our in-house art director\, Jason Brown\, has put together a fantastic show featuring the works for andyvanoverberghe\, Jasmine Star and Samantha Fisher. As always the show is free and all art is available for purchase. Swing by for some culture\, some drink and some tunes from DJ Kaeli Hertz! FREE!! \n\n\n\nandyvanoverberghe \n\n\n\nDrawing is my meditation. It is a documentation of my journey and a catalogue of growth and adaptation. Disciplines\, studies\, inspirations\, and interests from a wide variety of philosophies\, spiritualities\, sciences\, and fantasies fuse in the balance of my creative process. Every element is a symbol or representation of an idea. Like cogs on gears all lines work together to form patterns. Visual textures mimic patterns of nature and of thought. Free flowing ideas with regard to an organic canvas and loose expressive line work. A gathering of lines like atoms forming matter. Lines forming patterns. Patterns forming texture. Textures forming shapes. Shapes forming thought. Thought forming stories. Every story has emotion. Every story has a purpose\, a lesson\, and life.  The Tattoo Series is a Special Print Collection of 23 anatomical tattoo concepts created from 2011-2021. Applying lines\, patterns\, and texture to the expressive forms and shapes of human anatomy has always been a great interest. The majority of these pieces originally sold here at the Goodfoot and this is the first time the entire collection has re-shown together in one place. \n\n\n\nMike Skrzynski \n\n\n\n“For nearly 20 years I’ve worked in multimedia\, design\, photography\, video\, animation\, and the fine arts. The one thing that remains consistent is drawing and illustration. I often lean toward whimsical and anthropomorphic characters in my work. It’s fun and exciting to visualize things that might otherwise not exist except in the mind’s eye.  Comics influenced me greatly in my youth. It was what I wanted to do before I ended up venturing in other directions. I’ve only recently come back to the medium. Yet\, standalone illustrations remain my preferred way to explore character development and storytelling.” \n\n\n\nSamantha Fishers  \n\n\n\nwork is inspired by nature and the energy surrounding all living things within the universe.  This series\, in particular\, explores balance\, symbolism\, and simplicity. The work plays with nostalgia\, environmental shifts and elegance.

The strength of the 10-piece revolves around its energetic cohesion between percussion\, rhythm and horn sections. The band features Nojeem Lasisi from Igbo Ora\, Oyo State\, in Nigeria. He ranks among the world’s elite talking drum players. Nojeem was given his first drum at age four by his father\, also a master drummer\, who handed down to Nojeem its powerful language. As a member of Nigerian superstar King Sunny Ade’s group\, the African Beats\, Nojeem toured the world and appears on numerous recordings with King Sunny\, including “Seven Degrees North” and “Odu”.
