“FanFare: The Art of Science Fiction and Fantasy” 60 + Portland artists show their fan art on the beloved genres

Featuring Alan Hynes

Reception: Saturday, August 18th. 5-9pm.

Show runs August 18th – September 9th.

WHY FAN FARE? The art of Science Fiction and Fantasy is a celebrated format of art, from sci-fi/fantasy books, movies, comics, etc. Our gallery ALSO used to be a Toy Store, which housed one of the best varieties of STAR WARS merchandise in the city. With this show, we want the “FANS” of this genre to celebrate their art and the eccentricities of this broad theme. Nerds unite: faeries, warriors, wizards, star trek, trolls, aliens, Vader, Luke, etc – it is all fair(y) game for the show. EACH artist in this show has up to 3 works displayed.

FanFare Artists displayed are: Alan Bennett, Allen Schmertzler, Ali Schlicting, Amy Norden, Andy Vanoverberghe, April Jones, Arkady Roytman, Brin Levinson, Chris Haberman, Christopher Kelleher, Christine Ortez, Chuck Bloom, Colby Dahlstrom, Dan Ness, Darlene Schaper, David D’Andrea, Daniel Ayles, Devon Devereaux, Dougie Weber, EMEK, Emily Bates, Heidi Elise Wirz, Jason Brown, Jason Graham, Jason Edward Davis, Jen Berry, Jennifer Griffo, Joel Barber, Joshua Abraham, Kathy Conrad, Kelly Neidig, Kendra Binney, Kyle Gossman, Lea Keohane, Mario Robert, Matt Schlosky, Mike Trapp, Nathan Turner, Nicole Penoncello, Patrice Demmon, Paulette Hawkins, Peach Momoko, Raithon Clay, Rich Young, Rick Marcks, Robert Francian, Robin Phillips, Roger Lealamanua, Ronni Kobrin, Scott Chase, Sylvia Mann, Tanya Herrera, Terra DeHart, Todd Walberg, Yo Mutsu, Zak Gere, and more!!
