The tour features Bicasso (Living Legends), Pete B. (The CUF), Snap Jackson (LL), and Bron 4000 (SF). 4 artists, 4 styles, 1 great show!!! There will be mix-medium, stencil, acrylics, spray paint, photography and more. Music will be provided by the Fantastic Four DJ's (Seoul Brother #1, Soil, Venom 33 1/3, and Jammotron), a varying array of jazz, funk, soul, and reggae.
Downstairs at the Goodfoot, beginning at 9PM, will be a great underground hip-hop show featuring 2 of the aforementioned artists, Bicasso, and Pete B. The Fantastic Four DJ's will also be providing sounds between sets, hip-hop, funk, jazz, soul, and breaks.
The lineup will consist of: The Deep Fried Funk Brothers, (Sacramento), which is Pete, N8, and Mad G. from the CUF Bicasso, (Oakland), who is a member of the Living Legends crew and Brown Rice, (PDX), which is Brown Recluse and Mack Rice of Sick Bay
Bicasso was born in long Beach, CA. At a young age, he skipped between San Francisco, San Jose, Arroyo Grande, and Humboldt Co. He currently resides in Oakland where he teaches, organizes and creates, both musical and visual art. As a member of teh famed Living Legends crew, his music is wide spread while his visual work has just begun to take hold of the public eye. Bicasso's work varies from collage to murals, mixed media and acrylics. His natural blend of art, and organic feel, birthed the "Dirtworks" concept as an umbrella stamp for all things produced.
Antonio Borrego III, a.k.a. Snap Jackson was once referred to as the "Bo Jackson" of the underground art scene" by a fellow peer... and with good reason. This photographer, painter and musician has been a permanent fixture in the independant art world since 1996. His work has been published in such magazines as, URB, Juxtapoze, Thrasher and BlackBook to name a few. Snap's work has been displayed in various galleries around the glove. Snap lives in Stockton, California.
Pete Bettencourt Likes to paint. He loves his wife and kids. He is a member of the underground hip hop group The Cuf. He likes Mexican, Thai, and Indian food, acrylics, china markers and found objects are also good.
Bron 4000 is inspired by the people that he meets, when he's walking down the street, each day. His influences are Futura, Run DMC, 70's and 80's Hip-Hop, Iron Chef and Tight Kicks.
