Goodfoot will have an art opening on Last Thurs July 28th This months artists are Chris Haberman & Jason Brown.

Whatever Works – selected works of Jason Brown and Chris Haberman

Jason and Chris met around 2004 and became quick friends. Both had their extended paws in the art scene of Portland, both as artists and active curators, facilitating hundreds of art shows through the years and helping organize artists and tighten the enlivened community at large.
The team has worked together ever since, making art, planning art shows, freelancing shows and for 7 years, owning a gallery together.
This show, Whatever Works, is really a tribute to their collected styles and a personal message to make things work in the midst of an oppressive and challenging time. After a difficult year (gallery closing, frame shop moving twice!!), they have thrown themselves into making art, freeing their minds and just creating, as they did when they first met (as young furry man-cubs) – a stream of consciousness formed into particular ideas: chaos to order – although, sometimes its just bullshit to bullshit, but its colorful and from the heart and that’s why they got into art in the first place. Whatever Works in our current world, our current selves, whatever works when you make art, whatever works when you share a personal part of your art-self with the world. What Ever Will Work.
“You must go on. I can’t go on. You must go on. I’ll go on. You must say words, as long as there are any – until they find me, until they say me. Strange pain, strange sin. You must go on. I will go on.” — Samuel Beckett, “The Unnameable”
