Richard Jule
Richard Jule was first released as a mail-in figure in 1982. Born and raised in the East Bay area in a little big city called Hayward. Mr.Jule began drawing at the age of 5. He started off drawing his He-man figures, WWF wrestlers and probably whatever action figure he got that Sunday at the Oakland flea market. Being the youngest of 3, he spent most of his days watching Saturday morning cartoons and old VHS recordings of Saturday morning cartoons. He is what you call an Indoor Kid with the talent of knowing all knowledge on pop culture many years before the internet and Wikipedia. Artwork naturally led him into skateboarding, Hip-hop, drinking and girls. He created an underground art zine called Pumpkin Cutter in 1999 and he still runs it at least once a year. Later at the age of 22 he fled from Hayward to the Mighty San Francisco. After little time in the city Pumpkin Cutter morphed into Pumpkin Cutter Projects. PCP then whored out to the underground scene promoting talented artist and musicians by throwing Hip-hop parties and packed drunken Art shows. Richard has also slipped his artwork into magazines such as Juxtapoz and Vice. He even designed MUNI theme for a for PUMA California shoe. Richard Jule coined his style as Hanna-Barbarian and his main focus is to make people smile with his artwork. Richard now resides in Portland Oregon with 5 pairs of back up black and white adidas campus's.
