Firehouse

Firehouse is Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan. Chuck Sperry lives with his girlfriend Nancy and his cat Boomer in The Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco, where he's made his particular style of rock poster designs for over 15 years. Together with Ron Donovan he operates the Firehouse Kustom Rockart Company, a silkscreen print studio, located in Oakland, Ca. Chuck's clients are a literal who's who of the music world, and his images have been included in numerous books and publications. Sperry also loves to travel - touring Europe annually - holding poster shows and workshops from Bristol to Belgrade. His tutelge has inspired a new generation of rock poster and silkscreen artists worldwide. Ron Donovan is the bad-boy of Bay Area postermaking. Donovan's first footprint on the art world came in 1985, when he co-founded We Are Not Gentlemen (WANG), a cadre of infamous art saboteurs, headquartered at the California College of Arts and Crafts. For the last 2 decades Ron has created hundreds of cutting-edge rock posters and has spilled spurious political propaganda from various fortified compounds around the Bay Area, disseminated worldwide. Co-founder of the Firehouse Kustom Rockart Company with Chuck Sperry, Ron currently lives and works in Oakland, Ca. and exhibits his work in galleries and public bathrooms around the globe.
