Brad Hamers

Brad Hamers is a pocket-broke writer, cult poet, outsider musician, spoken word terrorist, and collage artist from New York, residing in Portland, OR. He has had two books of poetry published and 8 musical projects released over the past 10 years, both as a solo artist and as a member of the groups Phlegm and Two Ton Sloth. Brad only began collaging in 2006 upon arriving in Portland, inspired by his main musical collaborator, Big Pauper. This specific collection of collage work was created over the past 2&1/2 years...and is meant to represent not only Brad's position in the world (in the prevailing culture)..but also the human condition, and its place in the contemporary world..and worldview.......Each collage was created with found paper..mounted on cheap wood..and has a poem excerpt inscribed on the back....Brad is an active member of The New Police Collective and a believer in magic...a Token Recluse...a renegade scholar and post-modern mythologist...a Third Side to the extinct Circle..and a live land mine left half uncovered disguised as food...Brad has a New Solo LP entitled 'Post No Dreams' dropping late September, 2010 on Token Recluse Recordings... and a house-fire's worth of other work coming shortly there-after. Look for the closest roof on fire. Coming Soon.
